Like the Title said, it's my first time buying a book (note: My parents will be buying this book as it is my birthday present. While I think I can get away with anything spicy inside the book, anything suggestive on the cover or synopsis will be a definite no) I love fantasy romance, especially when there is overly complicated magic systems, court intrigue, INSANE plot twists, and Badass Characters. Oh, and no misunderstanding trope. By that I mean the problem in the story shouldn't be about the couple itself, (i.e., love triangle, bets, homophobia (can be forgiven if really really well done and not too prolonged), fake relationship, step siblings/any kind of family romance, second chance, cheating, etc (these are tropes I don't like btw)) but is about the bigger plot (i.e. some war going on, power struggles, the magic system, the gods, over throwing kingdoms, chosen one, etc.). Some tropes that I do love though is forbidden romance, enemies to lovers (not too much of a slow burn though, I want them to get together in the first book, hopefully early on but at least in the middle of the book) grumpy x sunshine, time traveler x immortal (haven't actually read one like that yet!), soulmates, opposites attract, etc. A few series' that I love with all my heart are the Folk of Air series by Holly Black, the Seven Realms series by Cinda Williams Chima, The Tarot Sequence by K. D. Edwards, Eric Linnaeus by Kikito Lynn, etc. I would prefer a book where the main couple is MM (I would have gone to MM_Romance but I don't have enough Karma 🥲), maybe even MMM but it is okay if that is not possible, anything that fits these requirements will do. Thank you so much!!

A Strange and Stubborn Endurance by Foz Meadows

Servant of Earth by Sarah Hawley

The Serpent and the Wings of Night by Carissa Broadbent

    2. I am currently reading “Voyage of the Damned” by Frances White. It is a fantasy, humerous, murder mystery with some M/M romance moments. Can’t say it ticks off your list but it is fun.
