When I was a teen I was super into the Fallen series by Lauren Kate, the Demonata series by Darren Shan, and also the Eragon series as well as manga like Pet Shop of Horrors, Beserk, and Another.
As an adult I still enjoy all of them but am consuming more Chinese series like Little Mushroom and Mo Dao Zu Shi but want to get back into western novels again now that I am A) running out of things to read and B) getting two new bookshelves to fill.
I want to preface that I am an adult so I am not aiming for teen genre specifically but I would also like to avoid anything really adult (I don't like smut, gore is fine). Any ideas on where to start again?
