I am looking to expand my book knowledge and read more. I haven’t read many books You don’t have to go into crazy detail, but it would be appreciated if you tell me why you love a certain author or title.

I’ve only read a few series/authors The Witcher, Tolkein, Game of Thrones, Joe Abercrombie, Dostoevsky, Fahrenheit 451, Lord of the Flies, The Outsiders, and a bunch of YA novels

    1. If I were just naming 10 books I love off the top of my head (different authors but most of them write severa incredible novels):

      Never Let Me Go

      House of Leaves

      Ghostwritten

      Tours of the Black Clock

      Watership Down

      1Q84

      New York Trilogy

      Anathem

      Fortress of Solitude

    2. The Count of Monte Cristo – Dumas – world class, most copied plot.

Ivanhoe – Sir Walter Scott – everything, history, Robin Hood, epic medieval trash talk, and beautiful Rebecca

The Lord of the Rings – Tolkien – more beautiful and moving than you’ve heard.

Ender’s Game – Card – this book is the perfect sci-fi book

Quo Vadis (Curtin translation) – Sienkiewicz – in my opinion the greatest novel of all time.

The Big Sleep – Raymond Chandler – sly, witty, atmospheric, quotable.

Nicholas Nickleby – Charles Dickens – in my opinion the greatest novelist of all time.

The Name of The Wind – Rothfuss – modern fantasy at its most perfectly plotted best.

Shogun – James Clavell – one of the greatest novels of all time – the political maneuvers and intrigue.

Lonesome Dove – McMurtry – this book will stick with you for a long time.
