Basically what the title says! I'm looking for a "dark" book (horror is very much welcome but not a must) dealing with topics like grief, loneliness, hunger – in the wider sense, like hunger for attention/love/connection – and the feeling of being different. I adore books exploring relationships but not necessarily romantic ones.
It can include fantastical themes! Folk tale vibes are right up my alley. I generally prefer a mainly female cast but that might be too specific 🙂
I read The Lamb by Lucy Rose, and while I enjoyed the pictures it evoked, the story felt a bit too on the nose and shallow!
Thanks in advance 🎉
