I’m buying a book for someone as a Christmas gift. They’ve been reading a lot about Vietnam so I’m trying to find a good book for them. I’ve seen Ru by Kim Thuy a lot online but I wanted to see if anyone else had any recommendations?
I’m hoping to find one by a Vietnamese author that doesn’t focus on the American perspective of the Vietnam war, more so the culture and the country. Any suggestions?
