Hello! I’m a major King Arthur/Arthuriana fan (both retellings and the myth, I just finished The Bright Sword and adored it while Sir Gawain and the Green Knight is one of my top five favourite stories of all time).I am looking to expand more into the general medieval fiction space.

I am happy with many subgenres though don’t love romance as a major plot point/genre. I think fantasy and some horror might be the best jumping in points for me based on what I like/the amount of books available.

I’ve read Lies of Locke Lamora (one of my favourite books of all time) and The Magician (was okay, but I liked it less). I feel like when it comes to books with magic systems I prefer when it’s something that the main characters have to deal with but not necessarily something they learn themselves if that makes sense. I am not an epic high fantasy lover which I understand can be restricting when it comes to this space

This may be a controversial take but I also am not that big on historical accuracy when it comes to this, while a delight it’s not a make or break thing for me

I am open to anything and I’d love to hear some recommendations. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this, I look forward to discovering some new books!!
