I need to bring a book for a work party as a secret Santa gift. The book can be anything from humor, travel tales, fiction, non-fiction, picture book, something inspiring, beloved children’s book….basically anything that we think someone would enjoy. Ages of employees range from their mid 20s to 50s, all genders.
I don’t even know where to start with this. Any ideas would be welcome. Thank you!

A small cook book? Like 20 most delicious easy desserts?
Travel tales (humorous)
A Walk in the Woods: Rediscovering America on the Appalachian Trail (1998) by Bill Bryson—hiking the Appalachian Trail.
Three Men in a Boat (To Say Nothing of the Dog) (1889) by Jerome K. Jerome—a two-week boating holiday on the Thames.
Something like “The Winter Spirits” (Ghostly Tales for Frosty Nights). It’s a modern, traditional Christmas ghost stories anthology. Seasonally thematic, but an overall neutral area.
If you’re looking more travel-ish, there’s the new Anthony Bourdain Reader, which has more of his travel stories and some of his personal writing. It just came out, so good chance most people haven’t picked it up.
Counter Attacks at 30 by Sohn Won-Pyung is an office satire which would go over well with the work crowd.
