I really love Steinbeck (EOE, The Pearl, GOW), Marquez (Love in the time of Cholera), Jane Austen (everything), Khaled Hosseini (A Thousand Splendid Suns), some Russian literature here and there (only Anna Karenina and The Idiot so far), and I just finished the Neapolitan Novels (My Brilliant Friend) which I adored.
Books I hate: Mainly sci-fi/horror, I picked up I Who Have Never Known Men and although I found it very interesting, those kinds of things leave me deeply disturbed lol! Basically I need something with a happy ending/life lesson. I also could not get through Watership Down or The Sound and the Fury. Must be super interesting and crazy stuff happens!!!
Mainly, I want to learn about how people cope with life, about love, scandal, and tragedy, everything. I've been trying to get more into non-fiction as well so please recommend if you have any. Thanks!!!!!!
