So far I’ve only read project Hail Mary and the 5th wave trilogy and I really loved them. I don’t really know what I’m looking for in this genre since I haven’t read many sci-fi books. I like any kind of vibes from silly and light hearted to dark and twisted, it can be adult or ya, queer or straight, have romance or not, I’m fairly open minded so any entry level sci-fi books should work 😀 (sci-fi books on my tbr: the murder bot diaries, starter villain, and parable of the sower)

Blindsight is my go to recommendation. Really engaging Sci Fi horror.

Just finished Ubik and outside of PKD pretty one dimensional female character writing it was fantastic. Very imaginative.

Murder Bot and Parables are both great ways to start. They are very different from each other so, especially after reading Project Hail Mary, you’ll have a good glimpse into how broad the genre of Sci-Fi really is. 🙂
I’d add these, each has great storytelling and are so engaging they’re hard to put down….

      Happy reading
