Looking for a standalone love story that is not 100% about love.

Can be a bit smutty but it cannot be the entire point of the book. Thats totally fien just not what im looking for.

Can be fiction, fantasy, sci fi or biography. Just not entirely basednon the relationship, gotta have a plot beyond that too. It can be a queer romance but thats not necessarily a make or break point just that it opens up the possibilities.

Also can't be a series. Im looking for a book for my sister and to my dismay, she hates reading book series. Only ever gets to the second one before quitting and saying shes bored of it. I will never understand.

I personally am not a fan of romance in books and i love series so im a terrible person to suggest books for here lol. Thanks everyone!
