It is not reading. Reading has a definition which listening does not match. There is nothing wrong with listening to a book. It’s a fine way to ingest the information.

Personally I think they’re different. I feel like reading with your eyes is much better for your brain. Audiobooks are awesome though and I absolutely believe they have their place. It’s oddly a heated topic online and I’ve never really known why.
