Hey y’all!!
I’m looking for book recommendations for my young niece, age 7, who hasn’t quite (and honestly may never), developed a love for books and reading. Of course if she doesn’t ever enjoy reading for pleasure, that’s okay! However she’s struggling with reading in school (already been tested for dyslexia and that doesn’t seem to be the problem).
My entire family, including her parents, are avid readers and this is a little out of depth for us. She doesn’t seem to enjoy fiction books, which is fine, I just don’t know any really good nonfiction books for kids.
She REALLY likes math and science, legos, puzzles, rocks, and animals. I just want to find something that can help her not absolutely loathe reading.

Have you tried taking her to a library? Maybe letting her browse and pick something that looks fun, no matter what it is, could lead to her enjoying it a bit more. Libraries often have kods non fiction sections, so just lead her to that ?
i wonder if the geronimo and/or Theo Stilton books might be enjoyable? they’re graphic novels and lean more mystery/adventure but many have science or history elements that might be interesting and could be a segue into enjoying more wordy books later on as well. I really enjoyed them as a kid & all characters are animals
She is the right age for the “I Survived” books. My son likes fiction books well enough, but he is much more interested in Non-fiction. I Survived are one of his favorites. They take a moment in history and put a kid in the disaster and talk about how the kid might survive the disaster. Like they have one about Pompeii or the Tsunami in Japan.
Another series he really loved was “Who would win” books. They pit two different animals against each other, like a Lion vs a Tiger and go into each animals strengths and weaknesses. Then they theorize which animal would win in a fight.
