Hello! I am the rare lawyer who is actually happy and enjoy my work (in house counsel at a large bank). I like the intellectual rigor, keeping up with tech development, and mostly working non-lega folks to solve puzzles. I am able to give my family a great financial foundation while also getting to spend quality time with my little kids most nights and all weekends.
I am growing out of the “excellent doer of things” phase of my career and into the “excellent leader” phase – which I am struggling with navigating. I find most corporate self help books to be pretty lame and really could’ve just been a blog post. I would love any literary fic or even memoir (that’s not just a selective set of narratively convenient anecdotes) that paint the picture of how one makes this transition successfully & authentically.
