Books about L.A./Hollywood?

I’m interested in knowing more about how it is living in L.A./Hollywood, or some stories about it. I’m now reading Eve Babitz’s book, Eve’s Hollywood, which I like but I can’t really stand the author regularly fat shaming someone, or the random sexualization of teenagers.

I also bought Joan Didion’s White Album but I haven’t read it yet. I can’t seem to find similar books, or just books about a real story that takes place in L.A.

Does anyone know what I could read?
