    Hello!!

So a quick run down, my mum has sadly recently lost her girlfriend and she is slowly getting better but obviously it’s a very tough process to go through. She lost her partner this july.
I’ve noticed she’s been reading recently (she never does) and she has been ordering books which i’m happy to see because she always says she wants to read more!

I want to get her a book that she’ll love and one that will not bring her down or mention anything about the death of a loved one.

She was born 1965 and I’ll be honest, I don’t know much about her taste in books, she’s very open minded and hippyish.

I want something that very engaging for her, possibly something uplifting to maybe give her a new outlook on life, maybe something like british realism? Or anything really, other than sci fi/fantasy, she would have a hard time following. Also maybe like a lesbian coming of age story? Especially something from the 70’s-80’s? Again another shot in the dark! But anything that’ll really get her hooked and is easy to follow!

Sorry this post is all over the place, it’s 3am and I’ve been going on a rabbit hole of books (i’m not a big reader at all) but I thought I’d like to have some suggestions from other people as well or some suggestions of what got people into the reading etc.

Thanks again and sorry for rambling!!
