his birthday is coming up and he mentioned that he'd like to read more/get more into reading. he's only just been getting back into reading and i know he will have a hard time getting into older styles of writing or lengthier books. he said he enjoys ' the ones where the whole scene is changed to shoe meaning', which ig is pretty much surrealism. he enjoyed 'the little prince' and 'the pearl'. currently he's reading 1984 which he is enjoying and as a kid he liked brandon sanderson.
so if anyone has short novel suggestions i would really appreciate it! thank you

Get that man a library card for starters.
Then if he borrows something he hates, no guilt about returning it.
