Hi, I am looking for a scifi/dystopian book series to really get into (25F)

I am fairly new this genre, I have read Project Hail Mary, 1984, dark matter, I who have never known men, and really enjoyed those. I mainly read thrillers and I enjoy fast pace stories and lots of plot twists.

I want something that will really grip me and keep me thinking about the characters and the story and make me wanna keep reading the whole series. I am more interested in the society dynamics than epic battles and space ships. I am not that that keen on fantasy either, I would prefer if the characters were humans and not aliens or mystical creatures.

I feel like i would enjoy something like hunger games, divergent, game of throne ish but for more adults.

    Any suggestions?

honestly The Silo series by Hugh Howey (starts with *Wool*) is exactly that society breakdown thing you want… underground bunker dystopia with so many twists about why they’re really there — Red Rising by Pierce Brown gets recommended a lot but fr it delivers – color-coded caste system, political scheming, very adult Hunger Games vibes. fast paced af — they focus way more on power dynamics and society than space battles

Dune is a massive series with a lot of political intrigue and interesting world building, 6 main books by the original writer and a few more by his son but I haven’t read those. I still can’t believe it was started in the 60s with just how deep the story goes. Not very dystopian per se but rather dark.

Also, book of the new sun, post-apocalyptic, very dreary and set in the far far future, so far that the sun is slowly dying, and the machines and world is a mix of medieval and sci fi. All quite weird and esoteric
