Hello everyone, i lost my mom a few years ago, she had schizophrenia and she was my only family, even though it isn't that recent i still think about her everyday.
It doesn't need to be a book necessarily to "get over it", i enjoy darker books like "no longer human" but in general i just like something i can relate to.
So any suggestion is appreciated. Thanks in advance

The 5 People You Meet In Heaven by Mitch Albom helped me when I began my grieving process after the loss of my mother. Hugs.
I’m sorry for your loss! I can’t quite tell from the ask, but if you’re looking for books on the subject of losing a mother I have 2 suggestions:
– Crying in H mart by Michelle zauner – this one made me cry and felt like a really “real” memoir about losing her mother. she didn’t gloss over the hard parts of her relationship with her mom or the hard parts of grieving.
– I’m glad my mom died by Jennette McCurdy – this one fucked be up. Her mom was a narcissist and abusive, but McCurdy is telling her story from her POV before she really figures that out and comes to terms with it. It is a brutal memoir, not uplifting at all, but really powerful. This could actually be a book you might want to avoid for now, I’m not sure.
