I just recently read Katabasis and have very mixed feelings about it. I love RF Kuang, but this book felt a bit disjointed to me, and the ending was really a low point in my opinion. Also, I have a question about the logistics of how Hell works.
How was Alice able to trade Peter for Grimes if Grimes was already in Hell and Peter should have been irrevocably dead because he died in Hell?
