(Realistic) medieval novel

Hey people,

I’m currently hugely into the game “Kingdom Come Deliverance” and just loving the Story and all of the information you gain about medieval times.

So maybe you know of a book that can somehow relate to this? What i would further like:

* focused on storytelling while giving (Realistic) Information about medieval times and lifes.
* not (overly) romantic
* Avaiable in german(y)
