    Hi everyone,
I recently lost my cat and it’s been really hard on me. I feel constantly sad and my mind won’t stop going back to it, so I’d really love a book that can help me escape a little.

I’m looking for something comforting, emotional but not too depressing ,maybe a cozy story, fantasy, romance, or even something funny. I just want a book that can distract me and make me feel warm inside, even for a while.

If you have any recommendations that helped you during a tough time, I would really appreciate it.
    Thank you 🤍

A Year In Provence by Peter Mayle. It’s non-fiction, but he’s a Brit who goes to live in France for a year. Cozy, nothing bad happens, good humor, and there is a scene with a goat that had me crying I was laughing so hard.

“Reaper Man”, “Soul Music” or “Hogfather”, all by Terry Pratchett. Don’t worry that they’re in the middle of a series, you won’t be lost, i promise.

Honestly, all the Discworld books are my comfort books, but those seem poignant for your situation. “Hogfather” is also seasonal 😜
