I have a close 23M friend who doesn’t read much and as a friend I am thinking of gifting him a book among other presents to encourage him to read more since his birthday is in a few weeks’ time.
Based on his preference in movies and TV shows, I think he
- loves fantasy and sci-fi
- quite a fan of spy and thriller
- enjoys mysteries from time to time
- likes the occasional rom-com (‘I don’t really watch romance because I’m a boy haha’)
- avoids horror like the plague
I am more inclined to give him a standalone than a series because I am concerned the length and commitment might be daunting for him. (But feel free to drop series recommendations too)
