I am looking for either historic fiction, contemporary fiction or classics.
My favorite reads the last few years have been The Frozen River, Before We Were Yours, All the Light We Cannot See, Foster and Daisy Jones and the Six.
Hoping to find something gripping. I tolerate heavy emotional themes well, and usually gravitate towards them.
Thanks in advance!

The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver
Code Name Helen by Ariel Lawhon (I liked the frozen river a lot but I liked this one even better)
“Arch of Triumph” by E.M. Remarque is an outstanding novel and it checks all your boxes (a classic, gripping and with heavy emotional load).
