I have scoliosis and a learning disability. My mom is really into social darwinism and was insisting yesturday that all humans belong on some sort of intrinsic social hierarchy based on their genetic predispositions, the strong survive while the weak get left behind, eat or get eaten, blah blah blah. At some point it began turning into straightup eugenics. It's got me feeling even more powerless and worthless than I usually do.

Are there some books that specifically tackle this worldview, and introduce something new?

I've looked into Kropotkins work, and I think unfortunately a lot of his findings about human and animal cooperation don't really disprove this theory. Would be super grateful for any suggestions. Either fiction or nonfiction would be awesome.
