I just bought an Audible subscription since there was a really good offer so now I'll have it for 3 months and $20 to use on some books to get me started so I need some suggestions on what to get with my credits and discount. What have been books where you found the audiobook was better in someway than just reading it?
I read a bit of everything depending on my mood so genre doesn't matter just looking for stuff that I can listen to when walking to classes, playing mindless games, doing chores etc.

I just finished the audiobook of In Cold Blood by Truman Capote. I listen to a lot of audiobooks but this was a particularly good one. Captivating.
I haven’t “read” the book. But I can only speak to how awesome this one was. The narrator was great.
Autobiographies. Hearing the authors tell their stories is great.
Rob Lowe, Henry Winkler, Mel Brooks, Jeff Hiller…all great
– Project Hail Mary
– Born a Crime
– Dungeon Crawler Carl
*An immense world* by Ed Yong
*Horizon* by Barry Lopez
*Braiding sweetgrass* by Robin Wall Kimmerer
*How far the light reaches* by Sabrina Imbler
*The message* by Ta-Nehisi Coates
I preferred Shelby Van Pelt’s novel, Remarkably Bright Creatures in audio. I read the book and listened to the audiobook and although I enjoyed the book, the narrators, Marin Ireland and Michael Urie were perfect and brought the story to life for me.
Dungeon Crawler Carl series
Ready Player One
I loved Chain Gang All Stars on audiobook, it’s a really great cast!
Mary Roach narrates her books, and i really enjoyed them.
I don’t know if I’d say “better” but I really enjoy audiobooks for British or Irish authors. My first Sophie Kinsella was an audiobook, and although I’ve read the rest of her books in physical format, I’m glad I listened to one of her audiobooks first because I learned a lot of pronunciation that way.
Project Hail Mary, Fourth Wing series
The Border Trilogy
Any Bill Bryson book read by William Roberts
Lord of the rings narrated by andy serkis
Dungeon crawler Carl for sure. I’m on book Five. The first one was audio. Then read 2-4 as ebooks because I could access them and read faster. But missed the audiobook. The humour just hits better.
