Hello,
I'm looking for a book suggestion(s) for my 10 y/o son.
Some background, he is a 4th grader with an average reading level for his age. He read the Captain Underpants series last year in 3rd grade and just finished the Diary of a Wimpy Kid series. He loves a series.
I was wondering if there are any good series out there that lean on silly/ridiculous humor? I might even be able to get him to read a stand-alone book but he says he likes, "having the same characters for longer."
TIA!

While it’s not comical I always love recommending the Percy Jackson series. The main series has 5 books featuring Percy as a protagonist, followed by another 5 book series where he’s a shared protagonist among other characters. There’s a few other spin off series where he and the other main characters show up as well, if your son likes the series to begin with that is!
How about the [How to Train Your Dragon](https://app.thestorygraph.com/series/6177) books by Cressida Cowell? The books lean more into the silly / gross out humor than the movies do.
My kids who like those two series also like the Dogman series!
