I have a story idea but I need to read more to write better
Context: I haven’t touched a book properly in years. I’ve been struggling to finish one ever since I started university. Time, stress, work, etc keep me from really sitting down and enjoying a book, even if I like it. I always think about reading but the thought alone tires me out most times.
I have an idea for a story and I’ve been itching to put it to paper. I’ve started planning it but I also recognise that I wouldn’t be able to write a very good book without reading. I need books similar to my idea to understand how others write it and what makes it a good book/read.
What I need: The simple premise is that it’s about a Knight and a princess. I need good books about knights and princess. Note— it doesn’t have to be romance. It can be a platonic adventure book. Whatever it may be, please give me your best suggestions! Having a list to go off of would help me greatly in proceeding with scratching this itch.
