Hello! I am looking for suggestions on great literary fiction (in your opinion) from the last couple decades?
I realized that all I read is older literature and smutty lgbtq romance novels. There are modern authors I love like Margaret Atwood but I haven't read much from the past two decades, which I'm looking to rectify. My favorite novels of all time (that aren't the aforementioned romance novels) are Frankenstein, The Bell Jar and Alias Grace (also As I Crossed a Bridge of Dreams, but it's not a novel technically).
If anyone has any suggestions for books they just loved/found life changing/made them feral in a good way, I would love to hear about it! If you also have any suggestions of books you think I might I would be pleased as pie!☺️

ETA: I just remembered my medieval Japanese lit prof had assigned us last year The Hole by Hiroko Oyamada and I also loved that one too!!!!!
