I should use Audible to expand my book collection with audiobooks, or use it to discover new titles when I don't have the time to search for new series.
Is there a reason you prefer the written word to audio?
If you prefer Audio, who are your favorite Narrators?
For someone very into Urban Fantasy/LITRpgs/Classic Fantasy with modern morality, what titles would you suggest?

You’d probably enjoy The First Law series by Joe Abercrombie, starting with **The Blade Itself**, narrated by Steven Pacey (my personal GOAT). Dark, gritty, violent, funny, fantasy with interesting, morally complex characters. There are 10 books in total, all excellent.
For LitRPG, if you haven’t checked it out already then you’ve got to go with **Dungeon Crawler Carl** by Matt Dinniman, narrated by Jeff Hays. A regular dude and his ex girlfriend’s cat are pulled into a real life video game when aliens bring about the end of human civilization.
For a really strange, entertaining, dark, urban-fantasy/horror ish novel, check out **The Library at Mount Char** by Scott Hawkins, narrated by Hillary Huber.
Cradle by Will Wight, narrated by Travis Baldree, is a fast-paced and fun ‘progression fantasy’ series, filled with great characters, interesting world building, and an engaging story over 13 quick books. If you’ve ever been into any classic shonen, anime like One Piece, Naruto, Dragon Ball Z, AvatarTLA…you’ll like this one. In a highly magical world, Lindon is forbidden from studying the ‘sacred arts’ of his clan, and must set out on an adventure to forge his own path. The first book is **Unsouled**.
**Red Rising** by Pierce Brown, narrated by Tim Gerard Reynolds, is a fast-paced and twisty, dystopian, sci-fi/fantasy revenge story, with great characters, deep world building, and an epic story across 6 books.
The Dark Tower series by Stephen King is a lot of fun, and narrated by two excellent narrators. The first book, **The Gunslinger**, is fairly short and predates the rest of the series by a long time, so has quite a different tone than the rest. Personally I love it, but some people don’t, and if that’s you I’d highly recommend just starting with book 2, **The Drawing of the Three**, narrated by Frank Muller. The series really kicks off here and is a wild ride, with King going apeshit with the weird ideas, clearly having a lot of fun writing his interdimensional dark fantasy epic. Violent, weird, really funny a lot of the time, it’s filled with interesting characters and unique worldbuilding, well worth the strange journey. Unfortunately Frank Muller passed away and the final few books (as well as the first) are narrated by George Guidall, which is a bit jarring at first. He does a great job as well though imo, and you get used to it.
If you enjoy Sci-fi at all, check out **Children of Time** by Adrian Tchaikovsky, narrated by Mel Hudson. Fast-paced, epic, sci-fi/fantasy, with interesting characters, rich world building, and a compelling sci-fi premise at the core of a great story.
Or check out **Leviathan Wakes** by James SA Corey, narrated by Jefferson Mays, the first book in The Expanse. Mystery, adventure, interesting complex characters, epic sci-fi/space opera.
