Hi there! My boyfriend and I are looking for a book to gift his best friend. This guy is a huge reader, and his read almost every book we've mentioned. He's even read Fourth Wing and Throne of Glass (they werent for him but he didnt say they were bad). We're looking for something that he likely wouldnt have come across
Some helpful info on him:
– Prefers both high and kow fantasy, sci fi, literative fiction. Will occasionally read non fiction if its one of his main interests
– Big Tolkein and GRRM fan. Has read most of the books that sre recommend to fans of their works
-Favorite movies are Pulp Fiction, The Terminator, Dune, Star Wars (first 6) and Lord of The Rings
– in his early 30s
– Absolutely loves being Turkish (he has read "Children of Earth and Sky" and "Gun Metal Gods")
– Rugby player
-Is honestly a bit of a hopeless romantic big on family (adores his dad and brother more than anything on this earth), likes to pretned his a big himbo but is really just a nerd
I dont know how much of this info os acrually helpful. if anyone has an idea on a book that he may have not read and he'd resonate with him, Ill be your biggest fan forever

Porius by John Cowper Powys. I’d be shocked if he’s read that before
Malazan Book of the Fallen by Steven Erikson – it’s a ten book series, and admittedly I’m only halfway through, but it’s hard to comprehend the amount of work that went into this series. There is so much history and lore built into the World. We’re talking hundreds of thousands of years. It also has a great cast of characters with more being introduced all the time. This is definitely in the running to take out The Lord of the Rings as my favorite fantasy series. Tolkien’s World feels more lived in, but the audacity of this series and what Erickson is accomplishing is staggering. My only real complaint is there are so many characters and so much lore that it can be hard to keep up.
Power of The Dog series by Don Winslow.
It’s epic.
