I know it doesnt quite fit the sub but i hope and think jt will have enough crossover interest
Would you suggest putting a few smaller books in a large archival grade box under your bed? Is it flat out bad or not optimal?
My alternative is a shelf, with more humidity swing protection, more heat swing protection marginally, but subject to indirect sunlight and in a mild hazard area (i walk past it a lot, never know what could happen).
Under bed is super safe from physical and light threats but may swing in humidity more as i sleep with window open.
I dont have the perfect place to put stuff i want to preserve not display, i have spacr under my bed and huge archival grade boxes idk what to fo with, is there something majorly wrong eith this idea?
I could add risers for spills and silica gel for humidity perhaps?
Any suggestions much appreciated, im really struggling to find answers.
I hope the question is ok here, i had no idea about what it took to preserve books well until lately so hopefully the post can be of use to people.
Cheers
