I’ve been thinking about this lately. I’m an avid reader — around 60 pages a day — and I gravitate mostly toward humor. I love DFW, Vonnegut, Saunders, Salinger above all, plus Ottessa Moshfegh, Harper Lee, Lorrie Moore, and Lydia Davis. My absolute favorites are Infinite Jest and A Confederacy of Dunces — I adore books that mix absurdity with real emotional weight.
What about you? What books really hit you? Any humor-heavy recommendations (or just anything weird and brilliant) you think I should read next?
