Hi Everyone, my partner is keen to take a small break from fantasy books as he's been drowning in trilogies lately. However he's struggling to find something to read. He's an avid fantasy reader and enjoys Brandon Sanderson, Joe Abercrombie, and has started The Wheel of Time. He's more recently read some more Stephen King (which he also enjoys). He's already read The Bone Ships, Kings of the Wyld, The Passage, and Lies of Locke Lamora as well. Wondering if anyone knows of any really great stand alone fiction books? They can have fantasy themes, but not too heavy on the world building / billions of characters. Preferably not fantasy if possible though!! Also just to make it more difficult, probably not crime fiction either. Thank you so much in advance for any suggestions 🙂
