Is there a book about schizophrenia that isn't from the year after I was born? I realize the Surviving Schizophrenia was updated repeatedly. I read it when I was first diagnosed probably around 2002. Surely there are books by psychiatrists who have some measure of compassion for those with the conditions and their families that are not as old. I have read Elyn Saks' book and also I am looking less for a memoir and more for something that sums up the current science, pls and ty.
