Im really into sci-fi, but dont have the greatest reading comprehension, dune was too much for me to make sense of. Im also really into like dragons and magic and midevil fantasy. Im just getting back into reading after a long time. Im 30 and I last read in high-school. I read Eragon, LOTR, and Narnia. Idk just something that will capture my attention and has a good storyline. Thanks in advance!

Terry Practchet’s Discworld series could be good. The individual books aren’t as long as the ones you listed but there’s a ton in the series
Check out The Realm of the Elderlings by Robin Hobb. Beautifully-written, epic fantasy, with rich world building, complex characters, strange magics, and just multiple GOAT trilogies comprising the whole series. The first book is Assassin’s Apprentice. It follows Fitz, the bastard son of a dead prince, who is taken in by others in the royal court and raised to become the King’s assassin. A really engaging and interesting series, while also being more melancholy and serious in tone than some.
If you’re in the mood for something on the more sarcastic and cynical side of things, check out The First Law series by Joe Abercrombie, starting with The Blade Itself. Dark, gritty, violent, funny, character-driven, fantasy. Endlessly quotable, filled with all kinds of complex and hugely flawed characters you’ll come to love despite (or because of!) their many failings. The audiobooks are particularly good, if you’re into that, narrated by Steven Pacey. 10 books, all excellent.
For a less gritty, more classic-feeling epic fantasy journey, check out The Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan. A great cast of characters, various cool magics, deep/rich world building, lots of classic fantasy tropes done well. Plus the series is finished so if you’re enjoying it you can be assured there’s a decent payoff at the end. The first book is The Eye of the World.
