Hello. Just looking for fiction recommendations for an imaginative 7 year old boy. He requested some books on his Christmas wish list. His reading and comprehension are very good for his age. I'm not sure what books he has read since his mother and I are separated but he did tell me he likes "chapter books."

Any advice is well appreciated, thank you.

Going off of what I loved as an advanced 7yr old, Maybe try some Roald Dahl books? I adored Fantastic Mr Fox and The Twits when I was younger, and there are illustrations on some pages that are comedic and helpful for those who are still learning to read.

For something a little longer Percy Jackson was also a favourite.

Calvin and Hobbs…it will elevate his vocabulary, and when he has questions, he can ask you!

    6. Short chapter books: dragon masters or dory fantasmagory. Longer chapter books try the author james Ponti.
