I’m trying to get into reading again, I bought a e-reader to help but I recently broke it and waiting for the new one to come along. So while I am waiting I want to know any book recommendations with interesting character/people relationship dynamics. Like the relationships the author/mc has with other characters/people is my favorite part of the story. Whether positive or negative, interesting relationships makes me read more.
My current favorite in these aspects are “Crying in H-mart” with how her biography is centered on the relationship with her mother (complicated but still loving) and “Anne of Green Gables” with Anne’s relationship with those living in town (her concept of kindred spirits, her relationship with Marilla and Gilbert).
I’m fond of how these relationships interact and grow throughout the course of the story. Despite none of the examples being directly romantic, I would love some romance reads as well. I personally skim the common romance books (fluff to dark) but they are mostly guilty pleasure reads, the relationships are cute and dramatic but not exactly in the way I am looking for compared to the current finishes books I read (I was reading ice planet barbarians before the kindle broke, loved it but i definitely didn’t kept reading it for it’s deep romantic relationship XD)
Any recommendations? I honestly would read genre
