Hey yall, I'm a gay man lookin for good MM books to add to my Christmas list. I want a read that isn't almost fetishizing gay men, like when its lowkey a little r***y but labeled as "hot dark romance," where its abusive dynamics that just turn into Stockholm syndrome, or familial stuff (like cousins, step brothers, or twins). Im also not a big sports romance person, and if theres a spicy level I'd give, I'd say maybe a 3-5 if any. Im not necessarily lookin for smut, but some spicy scenes I dont mind. I havnt had much luck finding a lot.
I do like supernatural, fantasy, apocalypse, urban fantasy, and monsters. I don't mind the mundane either like a college romance, enemies to lovers, or friends to lovers.

Wolfsong by TJ Klune is pretty good and recommend that one! It’s basically werewolves, found family, and emotional slow burn. It’s romantic without fetishization, and it goes deeper than just “two hot dudes in the woods.”
