I have sadly finished up all the books from Marc Cameron in both his Jericho Quinn and Arliss Cutter series and all the John Rain books from Barry Eisler.
Now of course, these aren't exactly similar but I figure its close enough for people recommend some new series. I would prefer series of books rather than standalone but everything is welcomed.
For reference, Jericho Quinn is US special agent stuff, thwarting terrorist attacks in america.
Arliss Cutter is US Marshal happenings in Alaska, usually ending up with a bunch of dead bad guys.
John Rain is a hitman, specialising in making it look like natural causes, having run-ins with the US government, CIA, Japanese mafia etc.
These books aren't particularly deep, its mostly fast flowing action with lots of close in fighting and our hero getting beat up and in trouble.
