I’m looking to get something for my dad. He has read Agatha Christie. He wants a book that’s maybe set at a dinner party (kind of like the movie Clue), but he doesn’t want it to be funny. (He likes funny mysteries, but he’s a little tired of them right now- he and my mom have really been liking the Thursday Murder Club series.) I know he likes good, gripping plots. He absolutely hates anything that has swear words in it. We both read Dark Matter by Blake Crouch and he really liked it. One of his favorite books is The Passenger by Lisa Lutz, but there’s another one of her books that he absolutely hates and I can’t remember what it’s called.
