I’m searching for a book for my husband (the only one I had in mind, he already ordered, and I’m out of ideas). Recent reads include mainly fantasy (The Night Watch series by Lukyanenko and some Warhammer novel I have no more details about) but no horror. He also has rather eclectic tastes and really enjoyed some very different novels like The Song of Achilles by Madeline Miller or all the Murakami books (hated Pachinko by Min Jin Lee, which was suggested by a friend). He generally likes video games, pnp role playing games and he’s a forever fan of LOTR. He’s also generally fond of mythology (recent video games include Viking like setting). Any suggestions pretty please? This is supposed to be an “add-on”to his Christmas presents, so a paperback novel would be best.

Edit: I thought of Piranesi by Susanna Clarke because I’m pretty sure he would have liked it but we already own it.

    1. If he likes fantasy that’s a little out there, there is a beautiful leatherbound collector’s edition of Riddle-Master of Hed that goes for around $50! Admittedly a somewhat difficult read due to the intentionally dream-like prose, and the leather version is only the first book. One of my favorite books though.

The regular versions of it are also pretty cheap
