Everyone’s always told me “You have to love yourself before you can love others”. Whether that’s true or not, I don’t know. But I know I’ve never really loved myself ever. In fact, I don’t even know how that would manifest. Giving myself a hug more often? No one’s ever really clear on it. But I digress.
I also don’t really have any friends, and never had any (I’m 30 now, also). So while I ponder abandoning the endeavor for good to make friends, I figure if I’m going to be by myself most of the time, I should learn to be okay with it and accept myself. But I don’t know how to do this and was wondering if there are any books that give detailed instructions or guidance on how to do this.
