I need a book to read for the winter break for AP lit, so this book needs to be fit for the exam as well(full of motifs, symbolism, metaphysical themes, etc.) I've already read Frankenstein, the Great Gatsby, To Kill a Mockingbird, and Their Eyes Were Watching God.
I really enjoyed The Great Gatsby and Their Eyes Were Watching God. I think I want to continue reading books like these, I love the beautiful writing and deep thematic messages. I've heard Beloved and The Picture of Dorian Gray are amazing and their summaries sound good.
Thanks for reading, any thoughts?
