so obviously reading is subjective for the most part and everyone has their personal, niche favs but i'm curious: what 5 star read have you read and said "everyone who reads this will love it just as much as i do, no matter their personal taste." obviously there's never going to be a book EVERYONE loves, but what have you read that you think gets close, and what's your reasoning if you don't mind sharing?
mine would be Anxious People by Fredrik Backman. that novel takes an intense premise, combines it with a ridiculous writing style, and somehow is such a moving and realistic examination of the human experience that i cried SEVERAL times during it. it could go from slapstick comedy on a one page to a grief-filled, wistful monologue on the next, and to me that encompasses life so well. i feel like there's going to be a moment in that book that everyone can look at and say "i completely understand".
so what are yours? i'm half looking for recs, half genuinely curious!

In Russian speaking countries where is pretty standard response to this question: “Master and Margarita” by M.Bulgakov. And this book definitely worth it.
White Oleander. The prose is so beautiful it makes me teary to think about.
Lonesome Dove. I recommend it to everyone and never had anyone dislike it. Also I’ve been recommending it on reddit for well over a decade now and I’m convinced I’m personally responsible for its resurgence in popularity, haha.
“The Princess Bride” has something for just about anyone – adventure, humor, romance, revenge, fantasy … and as a bonus has a film adaptation that actually does it justice.
