My niece is in middle school and her reading is at or above level, but her interests tend to be very soft and young. She can be very sensitive to sad or scary media. She recently started reading graphic novels, and her favorite is Dear Rosie (anthropomorphic animals in middle school, written for ages 8-12)
So I guess I'm looking for something with animals that's cute, and has a low intensity story but isn't "too young." But honestly the last point is probably the least important. Any suggestions would be appreciated!
