I'm so close to my goal of 50 books per year. I have 2 more to read by the end of this month. I want to read Beartown by Fredrik Backman and I'm looking for another short-ish one that I can easily fit in by the end of the year? Some short books I've enjoyed this year are:
We Have Always Lived in the Castle by Shirley Jackson
Our Souls at Night by Kent Haruf
Ghost Wall by Sarah Moss
Any other suggestions would be much appreciated 🙂

A couple of shorts from this year’s reads I enjoyed most were Train Dreams – Denis Johnson, and Seascraper – Benjamin Wood
Also, Beartown sounds super interesting. Adding to my own list!
Claire Keegan’s book Small Things Like These is pretty dang short. Audiobook was like 3 hours. As is Breakfast at Tiffany’s.
As for physical books I Who Have Never Know Men is fantastic and also not too long (around 200 pages iirc).
