I just finished Local woman missing by Kubica and while I loved the premise of this book and the original setup it ended up just making me mad. The big twist was good but the character motivations sucked, the red herrings were bad and it was just awfully paced. I only really finished it because I liked Leo's character.
Are there any books that have a similar premise or feel that are just better written?
