Hey everyone! I’m trying to decide what book to pick up next, and I could use some advice.
So, I usually read rom-coms, feel-good stories, and funny, light books, the kind that make you laugh, give you a little warm fuzzy feeling, and don’t take themselves too seriously.
Recently, someone recommended A Man Called Ove to me, and I’m not sure if it matches my usual taste. I know it’s supposed to be heartwarming and emotional, but I’ve also heard it has a lot of humor in it too, just in a different way. I’m not against getting a little sad in a book, but I don’t want something too heavy or depressing.
For anyone who has read it:
- Does it feel funny or is it more serious overall?
- Is it something a rom-com lover would enjoy?
- How “heavy” does the emotional stuff get?
- Would you recommend it to someone who mainly likes comedy and romance?
