As the title suggests, I am hoping someone can recommend a book or series similar to Murderbot Diaries. I particularly love the relationship (ew) between Murderbot and ART so I would be interested in books with a similar dynamic. I try to avoid books that are very sad or have very sad parts if possible. Thanks so much in advance!

Maybe try the Imperial Radch trilogy by Ann Leckie. Some similar themes although I feel like Murderbot has moments of levity and irreverence whereas Leckie’s tone is more serious. Really fascinating series though.
Oh also what about Andy Weir’s Project Hail Mary? Platonic relationship between an astronaut and alien. Great premise and reads like a movie (and I think it will be one next year).
