my mom has recently asked me for any book recommendations for christmas, and i would really love to start reading more in 2026 to improve my own writing, and push through my struggle of not being able to read for too long.
i really really love horror and post apocalyptic settings, but i also love wwi-wwii kind of stories too – i read a lot of stephen king and am currently reading house of leaves, and love the fallout + outlast games to bits. im not particularly picky, but i especially love longer or slow burn books, maybe set during 1950-70s
if anyone has any affordable recommendations, please lmk!
